MOBOs 2009 Rundown

This years' MOBO Awards were held at the SECC in Glasgow, Scotland, and I must admit it was quite a good show! *shock*

This year the MOBOs went all out on production - lighting and pyros, however the sound wasn't up to par, which is a shame.

Hosted by the sexy Keri Hilson and Reggie Yates, the night focused a lot on our very own UK talent, which is something to celebrate and be proud of as this is the first time the MOBOs have done this - with performances by N-Dubz, Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and Ironik who performed a medley together, Mr Husdon (what part of his music is MOBO is still unknown to me), and the ladies' favourite group, JLS. Tinchy Stryder was meant to perform a medley of his hits, including his #1 single 'Never Leave You' with Amelle from the Sugababes, but that got cancelled due to all the Sugababes madness that's going on at the moment.

The MOBOs put together a Micheal Jackson tribute,(which could've been a lot better....it's MJ for heaven's sake), lead by Latoyah Jackson, which included performances from Diversity, Briatin's Got Talent contestant Shaheen Jafargholi who gave a great performance of 'I'll Be There' and MJ's brother Jermaine Jackson who sang 'Smile' (again).

Peter Andre was the backstage reporter and I'm sorry to say he didn't do a good job. MOBO next year bring back Ace & Viz please!!

Other acts to perform were Keri Hilson who was joined on stage by Taio Cruz for 'Knock You Down, Kelly Rowland and David Guetta performed 'When Love Takes Over' which was a pitchy performance from Kelly, and Young Soul Rebels performed their War Child single 'I Got Soul' which ended the show for 2009.

To date, this was the best produced MOBOs show ever!! It wasn't fantastic, but it's a lot better than previous shows. Well done to the whole MOBOs team, Outside PR, the acts that took part, the nominees and the winners.

I hope 2010 brings an even better MOBO show
