Valentines Day Gifts for Him & Her

When you see shop windows decked out in all things red in early February, it can only mean one thing, Valentines day.

Yes, folks, its Valentines day this Sunday and seeing as we SocialWriters are loving, we decided to give you a push in the right direction to put a smile on your partners face.

For many of you organised folk, you would have had V-day sorted by now. Candlelit dinner, romantic walk, blah blah blah, but for you lastminute.com people that haven't got round to tackling the task of making your partner smile, don't threat we are here to help!

Here's some gift ideas that we co-sign, don't be the only one not getting any on V-Day, with these tips, you'll be sure to be smiling!

For Him

If you have a knack for the finer things in life then make your partner smile with a luxury belt from Hermes. Now nothing compliments an outfit better than a nice belt. Hermes offers simplicity elegance, but most of all quality.

Its reversible so you can get away with people thinking that you got two of them as well, smart eh :) Sad thing is price will set you back around £350 but whilst the majority opt for Gucci, your partner will have the nod of approval from all true fashionistas.

Hermes has stores in Bank, New Bond Street and Harrods.

For Her

If she doesn't own one already, get her an 8gb ipod nano for around £100. Now you may be thinking that an ipod is common and not a very thoughtful gift but go one step further and put all of her favourite songs on there.

If you're the type of couple that have a special song that reminds you of when you first met or if there is a song that makes you think of the missus, let her know, make a playlist, be creative.

Its simple, but doing the extra bit to put songs that she'll like on there will add sentimental value money can't buy!

For Him

If you want to make your fella smell real good try getting him something from Jo Malone.

Described as the best kept secret among celebrities and beauty journalists, you can almost guarantee that your partner will not be smelling like anybody else. Mariah Carey, George Michael, Usher, and Jamie & Louise Redknapp are all regular customers to name a few.

We recommend the Pomegranate Noir cologne, again expensive for a 30ml bottle at £30 but the smell will make you think less about the money coming out your bank account!
They have stores in Selfridges, Sloane street, and Harrods.

For Her

Simplicity is key, keep things simple, buy her a fragrance that will make her the envy of her friends.

We recommend Viktor & Rolf, Flowerbomb. Believe us this fragrance is the epitome of sexy, its a nice modern floral scent and will have your partner smelling like a summer garden. Expensive at around £35 for 50ml bottle but hey, what the heck, its Valentines.

You can purchase from Boots, House of Fraser, Selfridges & Harrods.

There you have it, make your partner smile with some of these gifts, and if all else fails, buy them socks, everybody needs socks right!
