So after the public uproar that has surrounded ex-X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu, who Cheryl Cole didn't select to be in her top three, it seems that Gamu along with her family, will now be deported from the UK.
Gamu's mother, Nokuthula Ngazana, had been refused permission to stay in the UK after her visa expired in August, which immigration officials have confirmed. Gamu has lived in Scotland with her family for the past eight years.
A statement from the UK Border Agency said:
Her family, who had applied as her dependants, were therefore also refused."
They must now leave the UK voluntarily or be forced to return to Zimbabwe.
A spokeswoman for the ITV1 talent show said:
"Gamu's visa being processed was not the reason that she didn't make the final 12."
This has now turned into something even bigger than it originally was!
Did X Factor producers know that Gamu's visa had expired from beforehand? In the past they have sent acts home who didn't have the right documents to stay in the UK to participate in the show.
No doubt, there will be more to come from this story!
