ALBUM REVIEW: Trey Songz- 'Passion, Pain And Pleasure'
Tremaine Aldon Neverson aka Trey Songz has returned to give us some 'Passion, Pain & Pleasure'.
After initially skimming through the award winning singers 4th album, I'd have to say this is his most consistent thus far, and by that I mean in the sense that you don't have to skip any of the 17 tracks.
The first single released off of PPP was the Nicki Minaj assisted 'Bottoms Up', the lyric simple, bass heavy track had heads nodding, but it wasn't until the seductive 'Can't Be friends' surfaced we heard the track everyone was craving for.
It's been said that Songz is the saviour of RnB and after listening to the album in it's entirety I'm inclined to strongly agree. 'Massage', 'Alone', 'Doorbell', 'The Usual' ft. Drake' and 'Unfortunate' work to further cement his new title and allow Songz to cock the crown which is now firmly placed on his head.
Stand out tracks on the album are 'Red Lipstick', 'Please Return My Call' and 'Made To Be Together'.
In the space of a year Songz has released two excellent albums which, is no easy feat. This album gets 5/5 from me.
Go get it!
Looks like R Kelly has some work to do to snatch the crown back...
