Today SocialWriters were specially invited to an exclusive playback session of the Queen of Neo Soul, Erykah Badu's new album, New Amerykah, Part II: Return Of The Ankh.

Strolling into the intimate setting of the effortlessly chic Hospital Club in Covent Garden, Miss Badu entered a room filled with anxiously awaiting attendees. However; the moment she walked in, the mounting anxiety quickly transformed into a sigh of relief with a splash of excitement for what the mixture of eager journalists, bloggers and music lovers, were about to hear.

After briefly running through the order of the tracks on her new masterpiece, Erykah then humbly proceeded to let the music speak for itself. The two time grammy award, self confessed 'analogue girl' has surely out done herself on her latest effort.

How she continues to bring the same spark and ingenious of her first album 'Baduizm', into the futuristic neo soul sound of 'New Amerykah, Part II: Return of The Ankh'; is beyond me. Though the two albums differ completely, she has managed to reinvent the vibe that was felt when her first album dropped, a true  reflection of her creative artistry.
