Beyonce and Jay Z were out in New York last night for the annual Met Ball, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The event was held this year in honour of the late Alexander McQueen.

Jay and Bey looked great together, with Beyonce wearing a very figure flattening Emillio Pucci dress while Jay kept it simple in Tom Ford.

Jay and Bey were booed because they didn't pose for the paparazzi!

Other guests that came out for the event include Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Ciara, Kanye West and many more.

NEWS: Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List - Oprah Is #1

The Queen of all media, Oprah Winfrey, has hit the top spot in this year's Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List. Oprah Beyonce, Tiger Woods and last years top 100, Angelina Jolie, to the #1 spot, after earning more than $315 million over the past 12 months.

Queen Bey aka Beyonce has come in second place at #2 - not bad at all for the singer/songwriter/actress who released her first, fragrance, Heat, this year, as well as embarking upon a 90-day world tour, and adding more endorsement deals under her belt with the likes of Nintendo and L'Oreal. All of these factors allowed Beyonce to make $87 million in the past year!

Lady Gaga hopped in at #4 as a newcomer to the Forbes Power List after earning an estimated $62 million in the past year.

Hope For Haiti Now

MTV's Hope for Haiti Now telethon, hosted by George Clooney and Haitian native Wyclef Jean has raised more than $57 Million for relief to the devastated country.The two hour charity foundraiser featured over 100 celebrities singing songs, giving heartfelt accounts of losses and survivals in Haiti and taking telephone donations. The event took place on Friday 22nd January and was broadcast on television and on the internet around the world.

Have Mercy For Madonna

Pop Queen Madonna has won her battle to adopt 4 year old Malawian Chifundo 'Mercy' James. Judge's in the country's supreme court ruled that the singer could now have custody of the four year after originally turning down her adoption request on the grounds that she had not been a resident in the country for long enough.

The multi-millionaire who has set up a charity which, feeds, educates and provides medical care for the countries orphans is said to be thrilled and preparing to move the child to New York to be with her other children- Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and three-year-old David.

I commend Madonna and the other Hollywood stars who want to make life better for some of these unprivileged child. I think the thing they should do now is look at kids in other thirdworld countries in the same situations instead of always going to the same places.
