NEWS: Simon Cowell Speaks On Cheryl Being Axed From The X Factor

Simon Cowell has finally broken his silence over the Cheryl Cole situation with the X Factor.

According to the Mirror Simon said,

"The hardest thing to accept is that everyone has painted me as a monster because I embarrassed her, but the truth was I was protecting her. I just want people to be in the best place at the right time."

Cheryl was among the original line up for the US show alongside Simon, L.A Reid and Paula Abdul. However, just 4 auditions into it, she was pulled from the line up and replaced with Nicole Scherzinger.

Cheryl then reportedly snubbed the opportunity to return to the UK version of the show, before being asked to go back to the US show.

"When she turned down the UK show, we got back in touch and said, well she is still under contract with the US show so we invited her back. Her position was still there.
We had some heated conversations with her US manager Will.i.am and he inferred this wasn’t a genuine offer. They thought that if she didn’t turn up on Wednesday then we wouldn’t pay her.
We made it clear that she was always going to be paid in full. We got to the point on Saturday when we genuinely thought she was going to accept the offer but again neither she nor they returned any calls. So we’ve announced Nicole."
So finally it seems to be set in stone, Cheryl Cole will not go back to the US version of the X Factor nor will she return to the UK show. Let's hope this is the last to be heard on this situation!

NEWS: Cheryl Cole To Return To X Factor USA?

If reports are true, Cheryl Cole could be reclaiming her seat as a judge on the US version of the X Factor.

According to reports by TMZ, producers of the show have made an offer for Cheryl to return to the show simply because they don't want to lose out on $1.5 million; the singers contract means that she will get paid whether or not she does the show.

Cheryl is yet to decide whether she will be making a comeback but, considering the humiliation she must have faced being axed, we doubt it's likely.

What are your thoughts?

NEWS: Cheryl Cole Sacked From US X Factor

If the rumours are true, then Cheryl Cole has been axed from the US version of hit television series X Factor and replaced with Nicole Scherzinger.

According to TMZ, the singer was removed from the judge's panel after concerns that her accent would be too difficult to understand.

As well as this, there was apparently no 'chemistry' between Cheryl and Paula Abdul.

'There were other issues too - we're told Cheryl and fellow judge Paula Abdul had a 'lack of chemistry'...and Cheryl was more expendable.

'Producers now want Cheryl to return to the UK version of the show - but according to sources, Cheryl's royally pissed over how this situation was handled...and may sever ties with 'X-Factor' entirely.'

Nicole, who was originally hosting the show alongside Steve Jones, will now become a judge alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul.

NEWS: Cheryl Cole Confirmed For US X Factor Judges Panel

After how many weeks of speculation, it has been officially confirmed that Cheryl Cole will join Simon Cowell and L.A Reid as a judge on the US version of X Factor!

Cheryl said:
I’m so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor. I absolutely love it here in the U.K., and with the talent they have out in America, I’m sure we’re going to find someone very special. I can’t wait to get started. I just can’t decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me. He’s tried to beat me for three years in the U.K., and hasn’t even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this.”

Do you think Cheryl was the right person for the job?

NEWS: Will.i.am Threatens To Not Work With Cher Lloyd Again!

It seems Cher Lloyd's strops and tantrums will be her downfall in the music biz. The now red-headed singer has angered Will.i.am with her recent comments about her mentor Cheryl Cole not being in touch with her.

Everyone knows that Will.i.am is smitten with Cheryl so he took offense when the X Factor contestant said that Cheryl was only interested in her own success in the US.

The Black Eyed Peas front-man is now threatening not to work with Cher again unless she apologizes to Cheryl.

TV: TreyC Cohen Gets Voted Off On X-Factor

Poor TreyC Cohen was voted off unfairly on  X Factor tonight!

TreyC was up against fellow group contestant Katie and when it came down to the judges selecting who to send home, their mentor Cheryl refused to vote anybody off and wanted it to go to the public vote.

Host Dermot decided to do a vote based on the three remaining judges decision and TreyC was voted off!

One question: When did the rules of X Factor change? We're pretty sure all judges have to vote someone off?!

No doubt the actions of tonight's show will cause another X Factor storm to brew!

Do you think X Factor made a huge hiccup this week with the voting process?
