Christina Aguilera was booed at the Super Bowl yesterday after she forgot and remixed the lyrics to the American National Anthem.

The singer has since released a statement saying:

"I got so caught up in he moment of the song that I lost my place. can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

She will unveil the 2,423rd star outside Hollywood Boulevard's Hard Rock Cafe on November 15th.

'Burlesque' stars singers Christina Aguilera and Cher in what looks like a 'Coyote Ugly' meets  'Cabaret' kind of film.

Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day.

Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician. With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with an enticing proposal.

'Burlesque' is released December 17th in the UK.

Yesterday Christina Aguilera premiered her brand new single, 'Not Myself Tonight', on her website and her A.P.E radio station, Christina Aguilera Radio. The single, produced by Palow Da Don is take from her forthcoming album, 'Bionic', which is due to be released June 8th.

'Not Myself Tonight' will be available to purchase via iTunes from April 13th.

Christina Aguilera Reveals New Album Info And Artwork For 'Bionic'

Christina Aguilera is to release her new album 'Bionic' on June 8th 2010. The first single will be 'Not Myself Tonight' which will be released on iTunes on 14th April. You can hear a snippet of the track on www.christinaaguilera.com at 6pm EDT on March 30th.

'Bionic' sounds like it's going to be a good album just by going off of the collaborators that will feature on the LP, such as Powlow Da Don, who produced 'Not Myself Tonight', Sia and Tricky Stewart, amongst others.

The title 'Bionic' reflects Aguilera’s ability to take her range to new levels and use her voice in various ways never heard before.


Aguilera describes the album as a unique mix of many genres and styles of music, “I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both electronic and organic elements with subject matter ranging from playful to introspective.  I am so excited for my fans to hear the new sound. It is something I don’t think anyone will expect.”

Hope For Haiti Now

MTV's Hope for Haiti Now telethon, hosted by George Clooney and Haitian native Wyclef Jean has raised more than $57 Million for relief to the devastated country.The two hour charity foundraiser featured over 100 celebrities singing songs, giving heartfelt accounts of losses and survivals in Haiti and taking telephone donations. The event took place on Friday 22nd January and was broadcast on television and on the internet around the world.
