NEWS: Ciara Dropped From Label?

Rumour has it that the R&B singer has been dropped from Jive Records apparently due to
poor record sales of her latest album ‘Basic Instinct’, which has sold less than 50K since its
release in December.

It was said that, Ciara was meant to release her track ‘Turn It Up’ featuring Usher as her
next single. March 8th was the set date that the single was due to hit the radio airwaves but
that has now been pulled.


The singer has also been spotted over at Universal Records with rumours of plans to signing her to Interscope.

As said, it is only a rumour, but whether true or not, hopefully we haven’t heard from the last
of this R&B/Pop princess.

NEWS: Sugababes To Be Dropped From Roc Nation?

Rumour has it that the Sugababes, have been dropped from Roc Nation. The trio were scooped up by Jay Z's record label last year and their not so successful seventh studio album, entitled 'Sweet 7', was set to be their official US release on the label.

After the dismissal of original member Keisha Buchanan and countless album pushbacks, the groups disappointing number 14 ranking in the charts, may have been the final straw for Jay's Roc Nation. As if things couldn’t get any worse for the girls, this weeks mid week report have revealed that the 'unlucky seven' album, is now firmly sitting at the number 36 spot.


If it is true, the news will not come as a surprise; following the groups recent bad luck in the charts, it was only a matter of time until Roc Nation took action. The future of Sugbabes is looking bleaker by the second. However; one word springs to mind, karma!

Omarion Dropped From Young Money

Okay, so for those of you who are out of the loop, Omarion was signed to Young Money Entertainment, by Lil' Wayne and yesterday Omarion's track 'Comfort ' ft Lil' Wayne, was leaked on the Internet.

Last night it was announced that because of the leak, Omarion had been dropped from Young Money Entertainment.

This tweet was put out on Twitter last night:

Now the only reason I can think of why they would drop Omarion from Young Money is if he leaked the track himself....I'm sure more details of this story will be told soon, so check back on Social Writers for the rest of the gossip.

Dropped??

Ms Kelly has been reportedly dropped by her record label, Columbia, according to News Of the World (NOW).

I wonder if this has anything to do with her firing Beyonce's daddy, Matthew Knowles, as her manager two months ago?

It's not like the girl can't sing and doesn't sell records! But I have to admit, she hasn't put out a good track in a while now...but that's still no reason to drop her like that, is it?
