NEW MUSIC: Day 26 - 'Made Love Lately'

It's been a while since we've had any new music from Making The Band 4's Day 26, but the boys are back, minus Que, and seem ready to regain their spot and show people that R&B is far from dead!

The group also have a new reality series lined up which will show the making of their new album.

Have a listen to their comeback single, 'Made Love Lately' then check out some footage from their new series after the jump.

'Made Love Lately' will appear on their new album 'A New Day'.

Day 26 Leave Bad Boy Records

Day 26 have decided to part ways with Bad Boy records after Sean 'Diddy' Combs decided to jump ship and went over to Interscope Records. They are now with Atlantic Records, where Bad Boy Records were a sub-division record label.

To be completely honest we at SW predicted this a while ago. Hopefully the boys can now carve out their own fanbase away from the label of 'reality TV stars'. Also, considering what happens to most Bad Boy artists this could be the perfect move for the longevity of their music career.

Let's hope that the quintet get some new music out soon as their first two albums were really good!

Good luck fellas... Oh, and please NO MORE BITCH-ASS-NESS!!

NEW FLAVA (VIDEO) - Donnie Klang - 'Prisoner Of Love'

Who remembers Donnie Klang??

He's the guy that Diddy gave a solo deal to after he wasn't chosen to be a part of the RnB group, Day 26 on the show, 'Making The Band'.

Last time we heard of Donnie Klang was when he released his video for his debut single, 'Doctor Love' and when he came to the UK on tour with Day 26 this year on Valentine's Day.

What do you think of the song?

UPDATE: Bad Boy/Interscope

The press release by Interscope Geffen A&M states that Bad Boy will have an imprint under the Interscope label, meaning that any new signing Diddy makes under Bad Boy will be under Interscope too.

"The new label deal will include all Diddy's future music ventures and his upcoming album, Last Train To Paris, will be the first release on the new joint venture between Bad Boy Records and Interscope. The single "Love Come Down" will be serviced physically and digitally this week with a video, directed by Rage, to follow shortly."

"Diddy leaves Warner Music Group (WMG) imprint Atlantic Records after five years. The current Bad Boy roster and catalog will remain with Bad Boy's WMG joint venture"

This means that current Bad Boy artists Day 26, Janelle Monet and Cassie will stay under Atlantic/Warner Music.

Bad Boy Closes Its Doors??

I read on GlobalGrind that Bad Boy would be closing its doors very soon with an announcement to be made during the week. Bad Boy Records was founded in 1993 by Sean 'Diddy' Combs and is under Warner Music Group and is distributed by Atlantic Records.

As most will know Diddy now has a solo deal with Interscope records and will continue to release his own albums....this is why his forthcoming album, 'Last Train To Paris' has been pushed back to 2010. This recent solo deal now makes sense......

Diddy just tweeted this - which I guess is his unofficial statement on the matter:
"Thank you to the Atlantic records staff. Thank you to Julie, Kys, Lyor Cohen, and Edgar Broffman! Thank you for Believing!!!"

As of yet no official announcement has been made.

What's going to happen to the rest of the Bad Boy artists Cassie, Day 26 and Janelle Monae??

Cassie's sophomore album, was said to also be pushed back to 2010....will Diddy help his lover get another record contract...or will she be joining him at Interscope?

Watch how all former Bad Boy recording artists come out of the woodworks and state how this is 'typical' behaviour for Diddy - looking out for himself and nobody else.

It's an end of an era people!

**UPDATE**

Diddy has made it official via Twitter:

"Its official: The BADBOY/INTERSCOPE Era has begun!!!! Let's make some HITS people! Daddys Home! Its a new day! BADBOY 4 Life!! Let's get it!"

NEW FLAVA: Day 26 - Stadium Music

The video for Day 26's 'Stadium Music' has been released...and I am not impressed!

I have been informed by badboyblog, the unofficial blog for Bad Boy, that 'Stadium Music' is NOT the second single from their sophomore album, 'Forever In A Day', it's merely just a video for the internet! Maybe that's why the video looks so budget?!

Their second single will either be 'So Good' or 'Your Heels'.

Day 26 Second Time Round

Forever In A Day is Day 26's sophomore album, and I've listened to a few tracks and the album is looking pretty good!

Released today, mainly Stateside, the Making The Band 4 guys, Mike, Brian, Willie, Que and Robert have tried to create an album full of club bangers, which they seem to believe was missing in their debut self-titled album, Day 26.

There hasn't been a good RnB male group for ages, I think B2K was probably the last, but Day 26, admist rumours that Que is crazy and needs to leave the band, seem to have the fans on lock.

There's no official release date for Forever In A Day for the UK....no suprise there, so buy it on iTunes! Support the movement....it's Bad Boy!

Here's the video for the first single off the album, I'mma Put It On Her
