NEWS: Drunk patients could be fined!

According to Yahoo new, the NHS may no longer fund self afflicted or "minor" illnesses. The report by 2020Health states that medical treatments for conditions such as alcoholism, acne, obesity and sexually transmitted diseases should not be at the expense of the NHS.

Chief executive of 2020Health, Julia Manning stated that "We must encourage people to be more in control of their own health. Its reassuring to know that the NHS is there for you, but that doesn't mean you should be free to routinely end up there after a night out"

According to the the chief executive, members of the public should take more resposibilty for their health and if they fail to do so, they could potentially be fined.

With constant reports in the media of obesity, Asbo behaviour and the increase of sexual transmitted diseases, could this be the future of the NHS?
