Kanye West shocked us all with the epic "umma let you finish" speech as Taylor Swift collected her gong at the MTV Music Awards.
Across the pond, Tinchy Stryder became a household name with two successful number one hits in the British charts, we also saw the emergence of Susan Boyle, a 47 year old singer who shot to worldwide fame after appearing on reality TV show, 'Britains Got Talent'; smashing records and single handedly challenging the old business model of the 'successful' artist.
A lot of great things happened in '09, but it also saw the birth of the Social Writers, three young journalists and one blogger dedicated to giving you the entertainment and cultural writings on the wall, as they happen, when they happen.
We thank you all for supporting & hitting us up in '09 and we hope that you'll do the same 2010.
